Sean McCorkle Vs. Christian Morecraft Targeted For UFN 24

Very rarely do you hear that two fighters, coming off of a loss to the same opponent, will be targeted for a fight against each other.

Generally, the two fighters in question share a win in common or a loss in common, but they usually take a few fights before they face each other.

MMA Junkie reports via Fanhouse MMA that such an occurrence of the former may happen, provided both Sean "Big Sexy" McCorkle and Christian Morecraft put the fight in dried ink.

Both men suffered the first loss of their careers at the hands of Stefan "Skyscraper" Struve in their most recent UFC outings and will be looking to get back on the winning track at the expense of the other.

For McCorkle, the fight with Struve dropped him to 1-1 in the UFC after a first round TKO loss at UFC 124 earlier this month.

As for Morecraft, the loss to Struve is a fight that saw Struve bounce back in the third round after absorbing some rather grotesque punishment spoiled his UFC debut which came inside Oracle Arena in Oakland, California—the site of UFC 117 and the Anderson Silva-Chael Sonnen nail-biter.

Again, it's rare that two fighters face off against each other sometime immediately after losing to the same guy, but this instance may prove different.

The only other definite is that the fight is slated to occur at UFC Fight Night 24, a card that officially gained Tito Ortiz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira as its main event, with "The Hunington Beach Bad Boy" set to face "Little Nog" in Seattle, Washington on March 26.

The official signing was posted by Fanhouse MMA reporter and MMA Journalist of The Year Ariel Helwani, the video of which can be seen here.

Also reported is the return of Anthony "Rumble" Johnson against Dan Hardy, a Welterweight bout which has further shaped up the card to be one of the most potentially-exciting Fight Night cards in UFC history.
