Brock Lesnar, Anderson Silva, Nick Diaz and The Latest Fighter Buzz

Even though UFC 129 is still two weeks away, there is plenty of news coming from the mixed martial arts world. Most of it has to do with the UFC event in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in August.

We know the main event of the show will be Anderson Silva defending his middleweight championship against Yushin Okami, but there's a compelling semi-main event that UFC just announced.

Mauricio Rua is going to take on Forrest Griffin in a matchup of two of the most popular light heavyweight fighters on the UFC roster.

Rua looks to bounce back from his humiliating defeat at the hands of Jon Jones.

Brock Lesnar's coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter isn't getting the viewers that anyone thought it would. Last night they fell to a 0.9 rating, down from the 1.0 the week before.

Certainly, this isn't what UFC officials had in mind when Lesnar was brought into coach.

Is Lesnar the problem? Or does the show's format need changed?

To me I would go with the latter because the show has played itself out over the last six years. Whether UFC tries to change anything is up to them.

Nick Diaz, fresh off that fantastic win over Paul Daley last weekend, is reportedly going to take his talents to boxing.

James Toney tried to transition from boxing to MMA last year, so why shouldn't Diaz, who is younger and in much better shape, try his hand at boxing?

We will have all the latest news from the fighting and mixed martial arts world.
