For the first time since October 1998, and only the second time ever, the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) will return to the country that has become the largest hotbed for talent in mixed martial arts (MMA). Two fighters who competed in that last UFC event in Brazil, Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva, have since returned to compete in the organization today.
Currently, every single one of the six currently rumored bouts for UFC 134 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil includes a Brazilian fighter. All indications are that trend will continue as the card fills out.
