Nunes scores early KO of the Year candidate on the female side

It's not often you see a woman slugged out with one shot, but that's essentially what Amanda Nunes pulled off last night in Nashville. The 22-year-old Brazilian launched herself into the conversation for a 145-pound title shot by blasting Julia Budd.

Budd came in with the reputation as the superior striker, but was overwhelmed when Nunes closed distance in the first 10 seconds of the fight and wailed away.
