Thank god it was just Mauro Ranallo calling Strikeforce's card in St. Louis. With all the huge knockouts, a Ranallo-Gus Johnson combination may have blown up television sets across the country.
The screaming was warranted after watching four awesome finishes.
When you leave a guy face down on a knockout like Paul Daley did, and your finish is only in the running for best KO of the night, that's a sick card.
My favorite finish may have been Robbie Lawler's against Matt Lindland. After pounding out the veteran, Lawler was polite enough to place the KO'd fighter's feet in a comfy position.
Ranallo's best call came on the Daley left hook that stopped Scott Smith. The Showtime announcer yelped, "Mamma Mia!"
Showtime 2 will replay the card tomorrow night (10 p.m. ET/PT).
